The Postal Service recently solicited all Mail Handlers with a message to consider transfering to a city letter carrier position. The message outlined how you could transfer to carrier and enumerated the advantages. USPS letter and NPMHU response

  1. Really? Where I work you actually have to FIND the mailhandler, wake him up and try to get him to move his ass without bitching about being woken up. They sleep on the docks, in trucks or any cubby hole they can find. There are a few good ones who actually work and earn their paychecks. But a majority of them are worthless whiners who are too busy watching what other people are doing and NOT DOING THEIR JOBS.

  2. The only humans left to actually touch the mail will be mailhandlers and carriers. Clerks? If you didn’t see the handwriting on the wall and chose to believe all the BS fed to you by self-serving union stewards, then you deserve an early out! Either that or go stand in the unemployment while that junior steward remains behind and “files grievances” to save your pathetic behind.

  3. as a clerk and union paying member I would rather have a piece of a union than no union at all duriing these joblesness and economic times. as it stands no layoffs which the private industry can’t boast of. without representation of any kind you are at the mercy of a business that can fire you without due process and no accountability. I find that those who aare critical of the union are basically angry witht their local who they voted in or not bothering to vote at all. under this anti-benefits a union climate business want to turn back the clock where they can pay you as low a wage as possible with no benefits and have you work the job without any regards for safety.Do you think all these hard won rights was handed to us by the postal service because it was the right thing to do?

    Do you really believe that manure you’re shoveling in your post? Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Communists etc etc etc will not resolve or change unions like the APWU and fiascos created by them such as that seen this past contract negotiations and being witnessed by the dues paying masses. Political parties have nothing to do with that friend and never have.

    So, you expect us to just concentrate on political parties in office and ignore what unions are doing (or not doing) with our dues money? We must Occupy APWU today !

At least the Democrats are not stealing half of your FERS Federal retirement like todd sweeny’s Tea Party in cahoots with the Republicans in The House……Don’t get fooled by these crooked liars: take a look at H.R. 3813 and H.R. 3630(Sections 5401-5404) presently trying to be rammed through The House by the Tea Party/Republicans in Congress.Thank your Tea Party/Republican House members for ruining your life by stealing your FERS Federal retirement so that you will never be able to retire;you will have to work until the day you die.Thank you todd sweeny and all the other fools that slit their own throats by voting Tea Party/Republican.BTW, this legislation also targets the CSRS Federal employee retirement,but to a lesser extent;but, give the Tea Party and Republicans time…..next they will be stealing the retirement of all CSRS Federal employees.

    Down with the NPMHU unions as well as the rest of the unions including NALC and APWU! This is a free country my brothers and sisters dont let these Unions sway your choosing whats good for you and your families! The NPMHU do not want to lose any of its dues paying membership!

    I would suggest that you should channel your anger and dissatisfaction into political activism TOWARD DEFEAT OF THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL MAJORITY….those are the folks that are REALLY going to rain on your parade.

    Instead of whining about a contract that the Postal Service is going to end up IGNORING anyway, you need to change your target to the PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO TAKE YOUR JOB AWAY FROM YOU.
