This list of 727 postal facilities is in addition to the nearly 3,700 post offices previously listed. USPS filed the following list of Non Retail Access Optimization (RAO) Post Offices, Station and Branches with the Postal Regulatory Commission currently under review for closure.

LIST OF RETAIL FACILITIES UNDERGOING DISCONTINUANCE REVIEW OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF THE RAO INITIATIVE

PURPOSE: USPS-LR-N2011-1/3 is a list of the postal retail facilities under consideration for discontinuance at the time of the initiation of this docket as a result of locally-initiated proposals for discontinuance review unrelated to the Retail Access Optimization (RAO) Initiative. The list is being provided in order to clarify the scope of the RAO Initiative. It is a Category 6 library reference.

PREDECESSOR MATERIAL: None.

CONTENTS: The library reference contains a list of Post Offices, station and branches undergoing discontinuance review as a result of locally-initiated proposals for discontinuance review outside the scope of the Retail Access Optimization Initiative.

It consists of an Excel spreadsheet labeled PO.S.B. At Proposal which contains the list of non-RAO facilities referenced at page 11 of the USPS Request in this docket.

  2. Southeast area must have political connections as no offices are listed on the attached. Alabama and Kentucky have quite a few. Georgia and South Carolina none listed. must BE ADDITIONAL LISTINGS somewhere.

  3. Offices 11-16 level that are within a 7-10 mile radius of a level 22 should have retail eliminated. Parcels and accountable mail could be picked up at delivery consolidated officies along with box mail. Congress and PRC must do its due dilligence to rid wasted cost. Books of stamps maybe purchased at super markets as well as national drug stores such as CVS. Stamps maybe purchased at smaller community stop and shop for customers convience for an additional penny.
    USPS must be removed from political influence that creates wasted cost.
