Postmasters, postal employees and their family members and friends recently created a living American flag in Shanksville, PA. Participants — from Pennsylvania, Arizona, Hawaii, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and Washington — were attending a National Association of Postmasters of the United States, Pennsylvania Chapter convention and created the flag to honor the heroes of Flight 93 who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Sabinsville, PA, Postmaster Janie Baer organized the event. “The response to make the flag was overwhelming,” said Baer. “It was a lot of work to put together, but well worth it.”click on pic for larger view
