Protesters turned out in force Tuesday morning for a rally designed to create more support in preventing the Valley Falls Post Office from closing on July 8. Town resident Derrick Watson, who heads an organization named “The Concerned Citizens of Valley Falls – Save Our Post Office, indicated last Thursday that he had sent an approximate 34-page appeal to the Postal Regulatory Commission in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, May 22.
