LOS ALTOS, CA (KGO) — A USPS truck set on fire and melted after its driver turned on the ignition in Los Altos on Thursday afternoon. The letter carrier escaped not injured.

Investigators are trying to determine if the truck was parked over a broken gas main along La Barranca Road.
